MURREE: Murree Police have formulated a complete security plan for Muharram-ul-Haram and a travel advisory for the visiting tourists and citizens to observe safety during religious days.

A central traffic system and a parking lot have been organized to manage traffic and prevent hurdles, the Murree DPO said. He stated that the main processions would start from the central imambargah in lower bazaar, pass by the Mall road, and would culminate at the same point as part of the security plan.

The District Police Officer Muhammad Raza Tanvir reiterated that entry of traffic and public on Mall Road and its adjoining areas would be completely restricted on the 9th and 10th Muharram.

All those who plan a trip during those days should consult the official travel advisory to avoid any difficulty. He said that other picnic spots and scenic locations in the areas would be accessible for tourists and citizens.

He told them they can download the official ‘Safe Tourism Murree’ mobile application and can avail timely information regarding traffic situations. Dr.Tanvir said that Murree Police would observe all the activities of Muharram and continue to help both locals and tourists with security in all areas in Murree.
