New austerity move: Govt to deduct two days’ salary of THESE govt officers

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, has imposed more austerity measures to cope with the current situation of Pakistan.

According to the notification issued by the Cabinet Division, the prime minister has announced that all government employees drawing a monthly salary of PKR 300,000 or above will sacrifice two days’ salary (except those in the education and health sectors).

According to the details, this measure will initially affect officers in BPS-20 and above.

 

Moreover, the prime minister has announced that all offices will operate only four days a week to manage fuel consumption amid the petrol shortage in Pakistan.
