ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, a new system for paying passport fees has been announced. Applicants can now pay passport fees with ease.
The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has provided an online facility to applicants in which one can pay the passport fee within a minute, instead of standing in long queues at the National Bank of Pakistan.
According to the authorities, the passport fee can now be paid through a mobile app titled “Passport Fee Asaan” or through a web portal Paymaster.com.pk from anywhere and at any time. This digital step has been undertaken to facilitate and speed up the passport issuance process for citizens of the country.
How to Pay Passport Fee
The first step to making the payment is to generate a PSID through the Passport Fee Asaan app, which is available on Android and iPhone, or through the Paymaster website.
Afterwards, through internet banking, ATMs, Easypaisa, or JazzCash, 1Bill can be selected and “999999” can be entered before the PSID number.
The applicant can visit the nearest passport office and complete the formalities without waiting in bank lines, as the online payment will already be done.
