Pakistan and Somalia ink visa waiver for diplomatic passports

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Somalia have signed a visa-free agreement for diplomatic passport holders, according to media reports.

An agreement has been signed between Pakistan and Somalia to abolish visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders. This agreement aims to further promote diplomatic relations between the two countries and strengthen cooperation.

The agreement was signed by the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia and the Secretary of the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan.

On this occasion, President Asif Ali Zardari was met by Somali Interior Minister Ali Yusuf, in which the commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations was reiterated.

President Asif Ali Zardari said that Africa is an important part of the global geopolitical landscape and Pakistan wants to further strengthen its relations with African countries. He said that Pakistan values ​​its relations with Somalia and seeks close cooperation in areas of common interest.

The President also expressed his determination that Pakistan is committed to joint efforts against cross-border crime and drug trafficking. Various aspects of cooperation between the two countries were also discussed during the meeting.
