RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir congratulated the People’s Liberation Army of China on its 98th founding anniversary and said that the Pak-China strategic relationship is an example of mutual trust, unwavering support, and shared determination.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the 98th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China was celebrated at GHQ Rawalpindi today. The ceremony was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zedong as the chief guest.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir warmly welcomed the Chinese guests while appreciating the PLA’s important role in China’s defense, security, and national construction. The Army Chief also emphasized the strength and strategic importance of Pak-China relations.

The Field Marshal said that the relations between the two countries are unique and exceptionally resilient amidst emerging regional and global challenges, the friendship between the two countries is stable and unwavering.
Army Chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that Pakistan Army and PLA are true brothers and their enduring partnership will continue to play an important role in promoting regional stability and safeguarding common strategic interests.
The Chinese Ambassador expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Army Chief for hosting the event on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the PLA.
The Chinese Ambassador acknowledged the steadfast role of Pakistan’s armed forces in the fight against terrorism.
