ISLAMABAD: The navies of Pakistan and Oman recently conducted bilateral exercises during the Regional Maritime Security Patrol (RMSP) in the Gulf of Oman, the Pakistan Navy announced on Wednesday.
The exercise demonstrated the “interoperability” required for regional joint operations.
Pakistan frequently engages in bilateral exercises with friendly navies to promote naval cooperation, enhance regional stability and strengthen overall ties.
These exercises are aimed at improving interoperability, tactical operations and counter-terrorism skills, reflecting Pakistan Navy’s commitment to cooperating with allies on maritime security.
According to the media wing of the Pakistan Navy, the ship Yarmook of the Pakistan Navy conducted a passage exercise with the ship Al Seeb of the Royal Navy of Oman. Its purpose was to build coordination and mutual understanding between the two navies, demonstrating the ability to conduct joint operations.
Earlier, PNS Yarmook visited Muscat where her Commanding Officer met the Omani military leadership.
