RIYADH: The seventh session of the Pakistan-KSA Bilateral Defense Industrial Forum was held on October 10 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Pakistan tri-services delegation was led by Chief of General Staff (CGS), Lieutenant General Muhammad Avais Dastgir, whereas, Assistant Defence Minister, Engr Talal Bin Abdullah Al Otaibi led the Saudi Arabian side.
As per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the meeting, the CGS reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued support for capacity building of the Royal Saudi Defense Forces.
The KSA dignitaries acknowledged Pakistan’s achievements and sacrifices in the war against terrorism and its valuable services for regional peace and stability.
The forum discussed global and regional security challenges and their impact on defense forces.
The forum noted that rapid development in advanced technologies necessitated further enhancement of defense industrial cooperation in key capabilities between the two brotherly countries. In this context, progress in ongoing areas of cooperation was reviewed while new areas of cooperation were also agreed upon.
