Pakistan weather update: Strong winds, rain & snowfall forecast across country

Islamabad Weather: Thunderstorms lash federal capital as strong winds, rains persist

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds and thunderstorms during the coming week.

According to the Meteorological Department, snowfall is also likely in the mountains during the coming week.

The westerly wind is likely to enter the western parts of the country from December 29 (night).

Rain in the upper areas is likely to continue till January 02 (morning), 2026.

Heavy rain and snowfall are likely in different parts of Balochistan from December 29 to 31.

Rain and snowfall are likely in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from December 30 to January 1.

Rain and snowfall are likely in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from January 30 to 2.

Rain is likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Murree Galiyat from December 30 to January 2.

Thunderstorms are also likely in Punjab.

Landslides and avalanches are also likely in the hilly areas.

However, the intensity of fog is likely to decrease in Punjab and upper Sindh.
