ISLAMABAD: Following recent incidents of terrorism in the country, Pakistani security forces conducted operations in Afghan provinces of Paktia, Paktika and Kunar, killing 29 terrorists.
Information Minister Atta Tarar, while issuing a statement on X, said that operations were carried out on the ambush sites of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and Fitna-ul-Khawarij in the border area.

Atta Tarar said that security forces conducted an intelligence operation on the Pak-Afghan border and killed a total of 29 operatives of Fitna-ul-Khawarij. A large number of weapons and ammunition stored in the terrorist centers were also destroyed.
The Information Minister said that on June 28, security forces conducted an operation in Bajaur, in which foreign commander Khan Froosh alias Zabul was killed along with 3 terrorists. The killed terrorists belonged to the Indian proxy Jamaat-ul-Ahrar.
Security forces conducted an airstrike in the Pak-Afghan border area under Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq, in which three terrorist hideouts and centers in Paktia, Paktika and Kannur were completely destroyed.
Atta Tarar said that the action was taken in response to the recent attacks on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Rangers Camp Karachi,
National security and protection of citizens is our top priority, peace efforts do not mean weakness.
He said that under the vision of the Federal Apex Committee, anti-terrorism operations will continue until the incidents of terrorism in Pakistan are stopped with foreign money and support.
