Peshawar BRT card price increased by KP Mobility Authority

Peshawar BRT card price increased by KP Mobility Authority

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Urban Mobility Authority (KPUMA) has announced a Rs100 hike in the price of Zu Card for the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, a spokesperson said on Sunday.

The price hike was due to the increase in paper and printing costs, the spokesperson added, adding that the new card is available for Rs400 after the Rs100 hike.

It is worth mentioning here that the provincial government had provided a subsidy of Rs4 billion annually to the BRT. But a few months ago, the fares of individual rides were increased by Rs10.

According to reports, the BRT serves a significant number of passengers with over 400,000 passengers travelling daily.
