Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal’s sister Aisha Humera Chaudhry appointed as FPSC member for three years

ISLAMABAD: The president of Pakistan has appointed Aisha Humera Chaudhry, a Grade-22 officer in the Secretariat Group, and the sister of Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, as a member of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) for three years.

Aisha Humera Chaudhry took early retirement from government service before her scheduled retirement in November. Following her retirement, she was appointed as a member of the FPSC.

She has gained considerable interest in the political and bureaucratic circles due to her familial relationship with a senior cabinet minister, Ahsan Iqbal.

Reporters revealed that once she is appointed as a member of the FPSC, she will receive the salary and other perks according to the rules and regulations of the commission, along with the pension of a Grade 22 post.

The Federal Public Service Commission recruits civil servants and bureaucrats for federal departments by conducting examination-based recruitment processes.
