UMERKOT: Veteran politician and Pakistan Peoples Party MNA Nawab Yousuf Talpur passed away on Wednesday at the age of 82 in Karachi.
Nawab Yousuf Talpur breathed his last in a private hospital in Karachi where he was admitted after suffering from a lung infection.
His Funeral Prayer will be offered today at 2 pm in Manjhakar, Kunri.
Member of the PPP’s central executive committee, Talpur was born in a village, Mithy-je-Khaan, near Jaimesabad on Jan 15, 1943.
Nawab Talpur, who started his political career at the Sindh University Students’ Union, was elected as a member of the provincial assembly from Umerkot in 1977. He served as a member of the National Assembly six times between 1993 and 2024. He also held the position of a federal minister in 1993.
From the 2002 elections to 2024, he remained undefeated for five consecutive terms and was an MNA till today.
