KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari was rushed to a private hospital in Karachi’s Clifton after his health deteriorated late on Monday night.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) stalwart was moved to the hospital under tight security. Zardari was admitted due to health complications, hospital sources said.
As per details, the two-time President is currently undergoing treatment in the executive ward, with doctors conducting necessary medical tests to assess his health.
Security around the hospital has been tightened, with significant police Special Investigation Unit (SIU) personnel deployed to ensure the head of the state’s safety.
In addition to hospital staff, several senior leaders from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) were present at the hospital.
Yesterday, President Asif Ali Zardari offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at Zardari House in Nawabshah, where a large number of people joined him.
