ISLAMABAD: Senator Mashal Yousafzai has once again expressed strong reservations regarding the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership during the party’s core committee meeting.
Mashal Yousafzai strongly criticized the party spokesperson during the meeting and questioned the press release issued by Sheikh Waqas Akram regarding the health of PTI founder Imran Khan. She termed the statement a “homeopathic press release,” alleging that it concealed facts and failed to present a firm stance on the issue.
Mashal Yousafzai stated that the two-hour-long core committee meeting’s decisions were not reflected in the spokesperson’s press release. She further claimed that the minutes of the meeting did not include several points that were later added to the media statement.
During the meeting, Mashal Yousafzai warned that if the PTI founder is not allowed meetings and medical check-ups by his personal doctors, the party would shut down Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She also cautioned that if the party’s demands regarding the founder are not met, PTI would not limit its protest to a strike on February 8 but would expand its protest campaign.
