PTI MNAs Junaid Akbar, Iqbal Afridi clash over discussion in NA

ISLAMABAD: A heated exchange between two lawmakers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) created tense moments in the National Assembly after the argument reportedly escalated to the verge of a scuffle.

According to details, PTI Members of the National Assembly Junaid Akbar and Iqbal Afridi exchanged harsh words during a discussion inside the House, leading to a tense atmosphere.

Members present in the assembly intervened and separated the two lawmakers before the situation could worsen further.

Speaking after the incident, Junaid Akbar said he was trying to convince Iqbal Afridi to allow another member to complete his remarks before responding. He claimed Iqbal Afridi was insisting that the issue should not be discussed at all.

Junaid Akbar added that the matter escalated due to misunderstanding and bitterness during the debate.

Following the incident, lawmakers present in the National Assembly attempted to normalize the atmosphere.
