PTI unveils nationwide protest rallies plan with other political allies

PTI

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that it will hold rallies and protests across the country in alliance with other political parties at the national and provincial levels.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, PTI leader Asad Qaiser criticized the government, calling it fascist and questioning its democratic claims. What else should elected representatives discuss with their leaders other than political matters? When he was asked about the meeting with Imran Khan, the jailed founder of PTI, he said.

He said that the party is preparing a strategy for the upcoming protests and nationwide demonstrations will be held soon.

Qaiser accused Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz of running the provincial government through “undemocratic tactics”, saying the democratic rights of the PTI were being suppressed.

“These tactics will not scare us. It is a misunderstanding,” he said, vowing to continue PTI’s constitutional and legal struggle.

He said that such governments do not last long.
