ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Sheikh Waqas Akram has said that social media has become the biggest source of public awareness, and now it is our eyes, tongue, and ears.
He said that social media has conveyed the message of PTI’s conference to every child; however, unfortunately, some people are misusing this platform. According to him, elements using immoral language are condemnable and such people are trying to tarnish the face of PTI.
Sheikh Waqas Akram said that many people run character assassination campaigns by taking money, but PTI expresses its indifference to all those accounts that use foul language.
He clarified that those who speak immoral language are not representatives of the party, and these elements cannot go beyond a few hundred followers. He said that the public is also fed up with such foul-mouthed accounts. He was speaking in the program Analyze and said that
PTI always believes in morality, not filth. Political differences have their place, but it is necessary to maintain decency. Sheikh Waqas Akram said that the PTI does not want a power that spreads filth, but rather we want politics that is based on ethics, transparency, and awareness.
