A resolution has been unanimously passed in the Punjab Assembly, which proposes to register the blood group of the cardholder in the National Identity Card.

Member of Punjab Assembly Ahmed Iqbal Chaudhry presented this important resolution in the house. The resolution states that registering blood group in the National Identity Card can be a great guarantee of saving the lives of the public by providing timely blood in case of accidents and emergencies.

The resolution further states that in case of serious accidents or sudden disasters, hospitals and blood banks face difficulties due to not knowing the blood group.
