LAHORE: The Punjab cabinet on Tuesday approved the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’, Kisan Card, and Sikh Marriage Act.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired the four-hour 10th meeting of the provincial cabinet to discuss a heavy agenda of 56 points. The cabinet decided not to extend government house allotment to employees after retirement.
Both the chief minister and the cabinet surrendered their powers to extend the allotment. The cabinet approved the launch of “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program on August 14, besides appreciating steps taken by Maryam for the welfare of farmers.
The meeting approved immediate temporary appointments of doctors in remote areas and increased allowances for doctors.
During the meeting, the Punjab Farmers Card was also authorized.
The Chief Minister ordered the process to be completed quickly, and the meeting approved giving electric motorcycles to orphan kids.
