Punjab hikes wages for daily workers, sets new minimum salary at Rs 40, 000

ISLAMABAD: The salaries of daily wage earners have been increased in Punjab, the provincial government has issued an official notification.

The notification for the increase in salaries was issued by the Assistant Commissioner HR, according to which new wages have been fixed on a daily basis for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers.

The daily wage of skilled daily wage earners has been increased by Rs 1,975 and the monthly salary has been fixed at Rs 45,945.

The daily wage of semi-skilled people has been increased by Rs 1,558 and the monthly salary of semi-skilled people has been fixed at Rs 43,108.

The daily wage of unskilled people has been increased by Rs 1,538 while the monthly salary has been fixed at Rs 40,000.
