LAHORE: The Punjab School Education Department has instructed private schools to not hold winter camps during the 2o-days winter vacation.
The education department has announced that the winter break will begin on December 23 and will end on January 12, 2025, with school reopening on January 13, 2025.
The education department’s directives came on Friday after owners of private schools sought a request to hold winter camps due to unannounced holidays to cover the pending syllabus.
Rejecting the application, Punjab Secretary School Education Khalid Nazeer Wattoo warned the private school owners of strict legal action in case they hold winter camps during vacations.
Furthermore, Wattoo said that winter holidays are necessary to provide mental peace to students. He suggested that teachers can complete their pending syllabus by holding extra classes.
