Rabi-ul-Awal moon not sighted in Pakistan, check new date inside

ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced on Sunday that the moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1447 Hijri has not been sighted in the country, so the Islamic month will start from August 26.

This announcement was made after a meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, chaired by its Chairman, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, held in Islamabad.

According to the announcement, Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) will be celebrated on September 06 across the country.

Muslims around the world celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), known as Eid Milad un Nabi, on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal — the third month of the Islamic lunar calendar.

The day is celebrated through public processions, events, and seminars shedding light on the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
