RAWALPINDI: Police have arrested a suspicious person from the Chohar Chowk area who identified himself as an Indian citizen.
According to details, the police of Westridge police station in Rawalpindi have arrested a suspicious person from the Chohar Chowk area who identified himself as an Indian citizen. The police have registered a case of the incident and started an investigation.
According to the text of the case filed in the police complaint, the police personnel were on patrol when they saw a suspicious person going towards Dhamial. Seeing the police, the person got scared and tried to turn back, after which he was immediately stopped.
During the search and interrogation, when the suspect was asked for his identity documents, he could not produce any legal documents. According to the police, the arrested person identified himself as Dalir Mushtaq son of Mushtaq Ahmed Sufi and confessed that he was an Indian citizen.
Two ballpoint pens and 1750 Pakistani currency rupees were recovered from the possession of the arrested person. The police have registered a case against the accused under the Foreigners Act and the relevant agencies have been informed in this regard so that more facts can be revealed.
