ISLAMABAD: On the orders of DIG Traffic Punjab Waqas Nazir, immediate provision of driving licenses and strict implementation of traffic laws are being implemented across the province.
According to the traffic police spokesperson, more than 46,000 citizens have obtained driving licenses in the last 24 hours.
According to the statistics, 16,000 citizens have obtained learning licenses while 15,000 citizens have obtained regular driving licenses, while 15,000 citizens have also renewed their driving licenses during the same period.
The traffic police have also taken vigorous action against those violating the law. In the last 24 hours, action has been taken against more than 35,000 lawbreakers, and heavy fines have been imposed on more than 6,000 citizens who were driving without a license.
Similarly, action has been taken against more than 13,000 motorcycle riders without helmets, challan tickets have been issued to more than 500 vehicles emitting smoke, while an affidavit has been sought from the parents of 450 underage drivers while issuing challans.
DIG Traffic Waqas Nazir says that 100 percent compliance with traffic laws is being ensured in Punjab and a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted for violations. He has appealed to the citizens to fully follow the traffic laws to avoid heavy fines and legal action.
