SBP announces holiday on July 01

ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that banks and financial institutions across the country will remain closed on July 1.

According to the State Bank, Wednesday, July 1, will be a bank holiday, due to which all banks will be closed for public transactions.

The announcement said that development finance institutions and microfinance banks will also remain closed due to the holiday; however, bank employees will be present in offices as usual, while public transactions in the banking system will remain suspended.
