Senior JUI-F leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed passes away in Quetta

QUETTA: Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, a senior leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), has lost the battle of life in Quetta after suffering from a long illness of kidney.

His son, Munir Ahmed, confirmed Hafiz Hussain Ahmed’s death, while JUI-F also announced the news from their official social media account.

Hafiz Hussain Ahmed was a prominent parliamentary leader, representing the National Assembly of Pakistan twice, from 2002-2007 and 1988-1990, as well as serving as a Member of the Senate of Pakistan from March 1991 to March 1994.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the news of Hafiz Hussain Ahmed’s death, noting him as a wise and experienced politician.

The prime minister also extended heartfelt condolences to the family, invoking Allah’s scalability in ranks in Jannah for Hafiz Hussain Ahmed and supplicating for the family to have patience. He added the whole country is standing with the family in their time of loss.
