ISLAMABAD: In a tragic incident, the daughter of a former commissioner assaulted an air hostess in a flight of Serene Air at the Quetta airport.

According to the reports SereneAir two passengers, Iftikhar Jogezai and his daughter Saima Jogezai were traveling on SerenAir flight number 540 from Quetta International Airport to Islamabad when the incident occurred.

During check-in, Saima Jogezai allegedly misbehaved with the airline’s counter staff while appearing to be intoxicated and prevented other passengers from approaching her on 18th March 2025.

After boarding the flight, both passengers allegedly verbally and physically abused and insulted the cabin crew while they were being politely guided to their seats.

They eventually took their seats, but just as the aircraft was about to take off, Saima Jogezai stood up again and started shouting profanities and issuing threats to the cabin crew, causing distress among other passengers.

The captain immediately decided to return the aircraft and instructed that both passengers be offloaded. Iftikhar Jogezai disembarked, but Saima Jogezai refused to leave.

Saima Jogzai attacked a flight attendant out of rage after refusing to get off the aircraft. The flight attendant’s nose started to bleed, and the punch also cracked one of her teeth, according to airline management.

The father and daughter were arrested by the Airport Security Force (ASF) after the flight attendant was hurt.

The Quetta Commissioner showed up at the Quetta airport right away, asked ASF what was going on, and gave them instructions to resolve the issue.

Eventually, ASF (Airport Security Force) took both individuals into custody, while the injured cabin crew member was rushed to the hospital.

As of now, both remain in ASF custody, but there is significant official pressure on the airline, airport authorities, and ASF to release them.

This incident raises serious concerns about the dignity and safety of airline crew members during air travel. There is a growing demand for strict legal action against such unethical and criminal behavior.
