ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, also visited the Shaheen Chowk Underpass project late at night and reviewed the construction work in detail.
Briefing Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa on the progress made until now, concerned officers informed him that the development work of the Shaheen Chowk Underpass project has successfully moved into its final stages before schedule, and overall, more than 95% of the development work on the project has been finished.
The chairman of CDA was apprised that the structural work of the underpass has been finished, while the finishing tasks of this project are in full swing.
During the briefing, he was informed that attractive landscaping and horticulture work around the project is being done quickly to beautify the project. Also, permanent and nice lighting is being fixed to improve the look of the project.
Appreciating the progress and quality of thedevelopment works, Chairman, CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that not only has the speedy completion of the development works on the project been ensured, but the quality of the works is of the highest standards too.
He ordered the acceleration and completion of all works connected with the beautification of the project before the opening ceremony.
“The Shaheen Chowk Underpass project will provide signal-free routes to students going to adjacent educational institutions and to regular commuters,” said the Chairman of the CDA. “The successful completion of this project will reduce fuel and time expenses of the citizens,” he added.
The chief of CDA, Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, stated: “This project’s completion would ease the flow of traffic on the Federal Capital, Islamabad, and provide the residents with the very best travel options.”
He also said that the provision of the best traveling facilities and the development of infrastructure for the citizens of Islamabad are among our highest priorities.
