Sindh Assembly passed the Budget bill for FY2025-26

KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly has approved the budget for the new fiscal year 2025-26, according to media reports.

The budget meeting was held in the Sindh Assembly on June 13 where Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah presented the budget.

Murad Ali Shah had announced that employees from grade 1 to 16 will get 12 percent ad hoc relief allowance, employees from grade 17 to 22 will be given 10 percent ad hoc relief, and pension will be increased by 8 percent.

He had said that additional funds have been allocated for education, health, infrastructure and welfare sectors, the health budget is 8 percent more than last year’s Rs 302.2 billion.

The Sindh Chief Minister had said that it has been decided to provide subsidies on drip irrigation to promote environmentally safe agriculture, and cluster farming projects will be launched under public-private partnership.

Murad Ali Shah said that the education budget will be transferred from the center to the school level, and direct funds will be available to school head teachers for administrative expenses.

He had said that facilities for the disabled will be increased, youth development centers will be established across Sindh, and programs to teach skills to the youth, career counseling and digital literacy will be started in the centers.
