KARACHI: A ban on new recruitments in the SDA was imposed in an important meeting of the provincial cabinet chaired by the Chief Minister of Sindh.

According to a private news channel, an important meeting of the Sindh cabinet was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister of Sindh, in which a 25-point agenda was considered.

While development projects worth billions of rupees were approved for the entire province in the meeting, a major decision was also taken regarding the Sehwan Development Authority (SDA).

The cabinet approved Rs 615.7 million to pay the dues of the SDA, making this approval conditional on a strict restructuring plan.

The cabinet banned new recruitments in the SDA, while it was decided to include 421 employees of the institution in the surplus pool.
