Sindh Schools to remain closed Tomorrow due to heavy rain forecast

Schools in THESE areas closed amid heavy rainfall

Karachi: Authorities in Sindh have declared a closure for all evening shift schools, both private and government-run, on Friday, March 1, 2024, due to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s forecast of heavy rainfall across the region.

Sindh School Holiday announced

The decision was communicated through a notification issued by the Sindh School Education and Literacy Department. This closure aligns with the provincial government’s declaration of a rain emergency. Additionally, it has been announced that both government and private offices in Karachi, the provincial capital, will operate for half a day on Friday.

This announcement comes following the newly-elected Sindh Chief Minister’s declaration of a rain emergency. The weather forecast indicates the arrival of a strong westerly wave, expected to affect various western regions of Pakistan, leading to anticipated rain, wind, and thunderstorms in several districts including Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, and Khairpur.
