ISLAMABAD: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited has issued a revised gas supply schedule for domestic consumers after restoring the supply that was disrupted due to a recent explosion in the main transmission line.
As a result of this limited capacity, the company has in place a schedule where gas supplies are distributed three times a day.
Deputy Commissioner Sanaulla said the 24-inch pipeline, a key source for delivering gas to Peshawar, Mardan, and Swat, was damaged in the blast.
To this, Sui Northern has begun supplying the commodity through a 16-inch replacement pipeline; however, there is a reduction in gas availability due to the smaller capacity of the alternative line.
Domestic consumers will get gas during three time slots: from 5:00 am to 9:00 am, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
However, the disruption has forced the CNG stations to remain closed temporarily.
