BAHAWALPUR: In a devastating incident, the Bahawalpur police apprehended a man suspected of murdering his father over insurance money.
According to the police reports, the man identified as Ghulam Shabbir was fatally shot by his son to collect the insurance money Ghulam had on his name.
The police team carried out an investigation and arrested the suspect. However, this incident does not stand alone, and several incidents happen every day in Pakistan.
Earlier, another tragic incident took place in Bahawalpur where an 11-year-old girl was raped and murdered.As per the details, the District Police Officer (DPO) of Bahawalpur ordered the arrest of the culprits, and the police successfully arrested four accused, including two uncles of the victim and two other close relatives.
A case of rape and murder has been registered against unknown accused at the Sadar Police Station in Bahawalpur. DPO Asad Sarfaraz Khan said that further investigation is being carried out on the four arrested accused.
