ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has suspended the order preventing Justice Tariq Jahangiri from Judicial work.
The Supreme Court heard an appeal filed against the suspension of Islamabad High Court judge Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri from working, in which the court suspended the order of a two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court.
The court issued notices to the parties and the Attorney General’s Office and adjourned the hearing till tomorrow.
During the hearing, Justice Jamal Mandokhel said that we have the case to the extent of the interim order of the Islamabad High Court, and the Supreme Judicial Council meeting has been called for October 18.
Justice Shahid Bilal said that there were objections to the petition against Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri.

Justice Munir A Malik said that the Supreme Court has already ruled that a judge cannot be stopped from judicial work, to which Justice Jamal Mandokhel said that the facts of the case he is referring to were different.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing till tomorrow.
