Supreme Court sets hearings on Imran Khan’s election rigging petition

Supreme Court acquits man after 23 years, cites doubts in murder conviction

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court’s Constitution Bench will hear the constitutional petition filed by PTI founder Imran Khan regarding rigging in the general elections today.

The petition was submitted through the mediation of Sher Afzal Marwat and has now been scheduled for hearing by the Constitutional Bench.

The seven-member Constitutional Bench will hear the case on January 7.

Furthermore, the Constitutional Bench has also scheduled the hearing of the review petition regarding the decision of the former Deputy Speaker Punjab. This petition was filed by Hamza Shahbaz and will be heard on January 9.

Furthermore, a petition challenging the discretionary powers of the Chief Justice of the High Court has also been scheduled for hearing. The Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court will hear the case on January 10.

The Constitutional Bench has also scheduled the hearing of the missing persons case, the seven-member bench will hear it on January 8.
