Talal Chaudhry highlights Faiz Hameed’s role in PTI decisions

Afghan citizens involved in Islamabad businessman’s murder: Talal Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said that many of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s decisions were made on the advice of Faiz Hameed, and that the era of politics involving crossing red lines is now over.

Speaking on media, Chaudhry said that Pakistan has faced both dictatorship and political authoritarianism from PTI’s leadership. He added that attempts to undermine the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have failed because the public votes based on performance.

Talal emphasized that Faiz Hameed has been punished for crossing red lines, including alleged links with India, promoting the Indian agenda, and involvement in the May 9 incidents. “Our focus is on improving citizens’ lives and ending terrorism,”

Chaudhry further said that those who have harmed Pakistan must be held accountable. He alleged that many decisions of PTI’s founder were influenced by Hameed, and that the PTI benefited while the public suffered.

He also urged judicial and political institutions to pursue accountability, stating that those who commit such acts should not be allowed to continue in politics.

As per details, this comes a day after former DG ISI, Lieutenant General (R) Faiz Hameed, was sentenced to 14 years’ rigorous imprisonment. According to ISPR, Hameed faced charges including involvement in political activities, violation of the Official Secrets Act to the detriment of state security, misuse of powers and state resources, and causing unlawful harm to individuals.
