Tariq Bashir Cheema suspended

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly (NA) speaker Ayaz Sadiq suspended PML-Q MNA, Tariq Bashir Cheema from today’s session over the abusive language against PTI’s Zartaj Gul Wazir.

Speaking on a point of order, the Minister of Defence Khawaja Asif informed the House that membership of MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema has been suspended for the current session.

Yesterday, during the national assembly session, there was a heated argument between Tariq Bashir Cheema and opposition member Zartaj Gul, after which Gul accused Tariq Cheema of using inappropriate language.

This led to disruption in the Assembly, and the opposition demanded the suspension of Cheema’s membership.

Sources privy to the development revealed that the SIC members have demanded the suspension of Tariq Basheer Cheema as a member of the national assembly till the budget session, while the Speaker NA has suggested suspending till the next meeting of this session.
