Tharparkar school teacher slapped for stopping cheating in matric exams

Govt exempts class 8th board exams

THARPARKAR: A disturbing incident unfolded at a school in Tharparkar when Manzoor Junejo assaulted an on-duty teacher, Vinod Kumar, for preventing his brother from cheating during an examination.

The matter was initially resolved informally by the school principal, with Junejo offering an apology. However, a video of the forced apology went viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage.

The public backlash prompted the session judge to demand a report from the SSP Tharparkar, inquiring about the status of legal action against Junejo.

Following the judge’s notice, the police registered a formal case against Manzoor Ahmed Junejo at the Dano Dandhal police station, four days later. The case was filed on behalf of SI Lal Malook.

It’s worth noting that incidents of aggression and violence have been on the rise in various parts of the country, highlighting the need for strict action against perpetrators.

In a similar vein, recent events in Karachi have seen a surge in accidents involving heavy vehicles, resulting in loss of life and property. Authorities have been urged to take concrete measures to address these issues and ensure public safety.
