Three militants eliminated in CTD operation in Balochistan

QUETTA:  The Counter- Terrorism Department (CTD) has killed three terrorists in an operation in the Dasht area of district Quetta on Monday.

According to a spokesperson of the CTD, large ammunition has been recovered from the militants.

The CTD official added that the eliminated militants were involved in many cases, including the murder of a minor boy, “Musawir Khan Kakar.”

“The security force brought one of their accomplices to identify their hideouts. As the team raided, the terrorists opened fire. The CTD team fought bravely and thwarted the attack”, as per the official.

Their firing resulted in the death of one of their aide; however, the other two were eliminated by the CTD, the official added.

The area has been cleared as per the spokesperson of the CTD.

Earlier, The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police had killed three militants in an operation in Bannu district of the province, officials said on Thursday.

The militants were affiliated with the banned Gul Bahadur and Zarar groups, as per the spokesperson of the CTD.

The terrorists were identified as Mudassir, Turab, and Mohammad Hussain. All of them were wanted in terrorism cases.

The CTD recovered explosives, automatic weapons, including a Kalashnikov and a pistol, as well as a motorcycle used by the suspects.
