QUETTA: Due to the scheduled railway track maintenance works being carried out today (Wednesday), the Pakistan Railways have temporarily suspended the train service from Balochistan for a one-day duration starting July 9th.
According to railway official sources, this decision was taken by Pakistan Railways to enable them to perform repair & maintenance works on the railway tracks so that future operations could be ensured with maximum safety.
Once these operations are complete, they will start their normal operation again. As per reports, passenger train services which originate from Quetta would be affected, as these are running between Balochistan and other areas.
So if you are planning to travel via Balochistan rail services, please make sure to check your updated schedule for your train journey. Please reach out to Pakistan Railways inquiry office for more info about this update.

This suspension follows ongoing efforts by Pakistan Railways to bolster the safety and dependability of their rail services in Balochistan province, which has had periodic issues with train movements on account of infrastructure maintenance and other security challenges.
This week itself, Balochistan saw a spate of militant attacks killing scores of security personnel, raising further concerns about precautions for transport infrastructure.
