MARDAN: A Pakistan Air Force training aircraft crashed near Mardan today during a routine training flight, resulting in the martyrdom of two pilots, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the ISPR, Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Qasim Abdullah of the Pakistan Air Force and Lieutenant Taha Abbasi of the Pakistan Navy were martyred in the accident.
The ISPR said that an inquiry board has been formed by the Air Headquarters to find out the reasons for the accident.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of the Armed Forces, and all the officers and men of the Armed Forces of Pakistan have expressed deep grief and sorrow over this unfortunate accident.
According to the ISPR, the armed forces have expressed their heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs and paid tribute to the services and sacrifices of the deceased for the country.

He said that may Allah Almighty grant the martyrs a place in the realm of mercy and give the bereaved families the courage to bear this shock.

In his statement, the President prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the two martyrs and said that the nation will always remember the sacrifices of the brave sons who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the homeland.
Asif Ali Zardari prayed for patience for the families of the martyrs and expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families.
The President said that the sacrifices of the armed forces personnel for the protection and security of the homeland are a valuable asset of the nation and the entire nation salutes its martyrs.
