DUBAI: India have climbed back to the top of the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings following their dominant series victory over Zimbabwe.
The reigning T20 world champions had slipped to second place after losing their previous T20I series against England. However, India regained the No. 1 position after taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.
According to the latest ICC team rankings, England occupy second place, followed by Australia in third, New Zealand in fourth and South Africa in fifth.
Pakistan are ranked sixth in the latest standings, while the West Indies are seventh, Bangladesh eighth, Sri Lanka ninth and Afghanistan tenth.
India’s return to the top of the rankings reflects their strong performance against Zimbabwe as they continue to consolidate their position in the shortest format of the game.
