UAE grants visa-free entry to Pakistani diplomatic, official passport holders

Passport department launches 24/7 real-time monitoring system

ISLAMABAD: Visa exemption has been activated for holders of Pakistani diplomatic and official passports in the UAE.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that during a meeting with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on June 24, 2025, both sides agreed to grant visa exemption to holders of diplomatic and official passports.

He added that a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to implement these measures, which will come into effect 30 days after the date of signing.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the UAE authorities have activated visa exemption for holders of Pakistani diplomatic and official passports to enter the UAE, effective from July 25, 2025, for applications on all relevant passports.

Ishaq Dar also noted that UAE citizens will be exempted from visas at all airports in Pakistan.
