Unregistered bike service riders to face heavy penalties

Islamabad waives motorcycle transfer fee for one month

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi authorities have decided to launch a crackdown on online bike riders operating without proper registration, and the survey to identify them has already begun.

The surveys were conducted in R.A. Bazaar, Naseerabad, Ganjmandi, and City Police Station areas on the first day, and a preliminary report has been sent to senior officials.

Authorities say action will be taken in the case of online bike service providers without a registered mobile application.

The administration has made the application registration compulsory for every online bike service provider.

The crackdown is based on improving public safety, recording data properly, and enhancing the regulations of traffic across the city.
