Video of Maulana Sheikh Idrees Attack surfaces: Details inside

CHARSADDA: Pictures of the attack on Maulana Sheikh Idrees have emerged.

JUI-F provincial patron and close aide of Maulana Fazlur Rehman was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants while he was on his way to a seminary in Charsadda, in which two of his bodyguards were also injured.

Police officials say that a suspicious person has been seen in the pictures, and it is possible that the suspicious person is a facilitator involved in the incident.

The investigation team has recovered 9 bullet shells from the scene, which are being sent for forensics.

It should be noted that JUI-F has announced a protest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa yesterday against the incident.

Maulana Sheikh Idrees was also a senior seminary teacher at Jamia Haqqania Akora Khattak, his religious services are highly valued throughout the province. There is intense grief and anger among religious people over his martyrdom.

It should be remembered that a case of Maulana Idrees’ murder has been registered at CTD Mardan police station.

An FIR has been registered on the complaint of the SHO City, naming unknown accused and adding terrorism provisions along with murder.
