KARACHI: Islamabad United defeated Lahore Qalandars in the sixteenth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In the match played at the National Stadium, Karachi, Islamabad United easily achieved the target of 101 runs for the loss of one wicket in 10.2 overs.
Devon Conway remained unbeaten on 59, and Muhammad Faiq on 34. Sameer Minhas was dismissed for 5 runs.
Shaheen Shah Afridi took the only wicket for Lahore Qalandars.
Earlier, Islamabad United won the toss and invited Lahore Qalandars to bat first.
The defending champions, Lahore Qalandars, faced difficulties from the beginning due to the loss of wickets in the first over and were all out after scoring 100 runs.
This is the lowest score made in Karachi in the history of PSL. Sikandar Raza scored 25, Haseebullah Khan scored 19, Asif Ali scored 15, and Abdullah Shafiq scored 10. No other batsman reached double figures.
For Islamabad United, Chris Green took 3 wickets, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, and Richard Gleeson took 2 wickets each, while Faheem Ashraf took one wicket.
