Renowned Pakistani actor Faysal Quraishi has opened up about not receiving the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz, despite 33 years in the entertainment industry. The actor shared his thoughts during a recent podcast with Shahzad Nawaz.
Quraishi joked about protesting at the Imtiaz store, saying, “I might stand there and announce I’m in Imtiaz, but I still haven’t received any Sitara. Maybe the store will give me one!”
He revealed that his name was reportedly sent back twice for the award. “It’s been 33 years, and I don’t know who gets the Sitara-e-Imtiaz. Maybe I’m lacking calcium, that’s why they aren’t giving me the award,” he quipped.
Despite the humor, Quraishi appeared genuinely disappointed. He said he has questioned why he hasn’t received the presidential honor. “People have emailed them about me. I don’t know why. I’m not political, but I am patriotic. I will accept the award if I get it because I truly deserve it,” he added.
Fans have shown strong support on social media. Many praised him as one of Pakistan’s finest actors and said he has contributed greatly to the country’s entertainment industry.
Faysal Quraishi is celebrated for his performances in hits like Case No.9 (2025), Fitoor (2021), and Baba Jani (2018). He has also hosted game shows, morning shows, and Ramadan specials, earning him a special place in viewers’ hearts.
