How do dreams appear before death?

Father kills young daughter over TikTok account

LAHORE: Dreams seen during and during the last days of human life have always been a mystery, but a new scientific study recently has revealed these dreams.

A new study has revealed shocking revelations, according to which people see amazing and often similar dreams and scenes before death.

This study by Italian experts has shown that these dreams and scenes play an important role in providing them with peace.

Experts from the Italian institution Azenda USL have conducted the first study of its kind in which the dreams of patients who were at the last stage of life were examined.

For this purpose, data was collected from 239 medical workers, nurses and psychologists who had heard and witnessed the experiences of dying patients themselves. The results were published in the renowned journal Death Studies.

According to the study, many patients reported seeing their deceased loved ones in their dreams.

One female patient reported seeing her late husband, calling her to him and saying he was waiting for her, while another saw herself walking towards a bright door.

Some people described visions of bright lights, stairs or open doors, which seemed to symbolize entering a new world; one patient mentioned seeing a white horse galloping along the beach.

Although most dreams were peaceful, some patients also had frightening dreams, such as seeing a scary figure. One person said that he felt as if a scary creature was pulling him downward.

According to experts, such dreams reflect a person’s fear or unwillingness to accept death.

According to the head of the research, Elisa Robetti, these dreams and visions are not just illusions, but they prepare patients mentally and spiritually for death. They give the patient the feeling that they are not alone, which gives them peace of mind.

Experts say that many patients do not say these things for fear that people will think they are crazy, so they should be listened to carefully.

This study was conducted on people who were in the final stages of the disease, not those who had narrowly escaped an accident. Interestingly, the experiences of both types of people were found to be surprisingly similar.

This research tells us that the human brain has a natural way of comforting itself and finding peace at the end of life, which proves to be a psychological support apart from medication.
