ISLAMABAD: Ali Tareen, the owner of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans, has announced his departure from the team.

On social networking site X, Ali Tareen announced his departure from the ownership of Multan Sultans, saying that he is proud to have been a part of this team, I love the Sultans fans and team, and I am also proud to represent South Punjab.

Ali Tareen wrote that ‘I had always made it clear to my players and staff that they should work hard and fight for their rights and face challenges every day.

I had instructed them to meet the expectations of the fans because they can forget defeats due to good play but continue to compete.

The franchise owner wrote, “This was the idea that made us achieve success on the ground and in other fields despite the financial losses because I never thought of backing down.”

Ali Tareen said that I raised my voice at every opportunity to protect Multan Sultans, even though I knew that I was not in a position to drink tea with everyone, but I was always sincere and always spoke my mind.

I did not learn to play cautiously and long, and always raised my voice for my franchise and stood firm on my principles.

Ali Tareen wrote that I did not bring the team to its knees to stand on my feet and preferred defeat, but now it is time to say Khuda Hafiz!

He appealed to the fans to continue their support for the Multan Sultans team and the new owner, as this team represents South Punjab.

Ali Tareen wrote that I now have the status of a super fan in the PSL and will continue to support my team.
