Australia chases down record 352 to defeat England in Champions Trophy Group B

LAHORE: In the crucial match of Champions Trophy Group B, Australia achieved the record target of 352 runs set by England for the loss of four wickets.

In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first.

For England, Duckett played a memorable innings of 165 runs, which Root scored 68, Buttler 23 runs.

Australia’s Duersois took three wickets, Zampa and Labuschagne took two wickets each. England gave the highest target in the history of Champions Trophy.

In the stipulated 50 overs, England scored 351 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

In reply, the Australian batsmen batted aggressively and achieved the desired target in the 47th over thanks to an unbeaten century by Jose English.

For the Kangaroos, Jose English scored an unbeaten 120, Short 63, Carey 69, Labuschagne 47 and Maxwell 32.

Earlier, after winning the toss, the Australian captain said that we will field first. When we were practicing, the ground was damp, Steve Smith said that the pitch can give swing.
